Prison Wedding Ministers

Rev. Byron Sichert, the Top BRW Regional Prison Wedding Minister, performs the ceremonies and has served in the Ministry since 1983. Remote Marriages are normally not accepted by Homeland Security and ICE.

 VIRGINIA
For a $100 non-refundable consultation fee, I perform non-religious, semi-religious, and Christian ceremonies at Virginia DOC Prisons ONLY by two way phone call, three way phone call, and inperson with Officiant on Phone. If a phone can not be in the room, you will have to find another Officiant. I have no travel time to travel to the Prisons because of the number of Weddings I do daily. Prison Chaplains do not perform the marriage ceremonies. The inmate should not fill out the inmate marriage request form without the fiancee talking to me first since they are normally filled out wrong if they do. Do not give my information to the Counselor without talking to me first. I will explain the process for providing the divorce decrees, the inmate ring, the State Wedding Fee, and the Marriage Affidavit which must be completed by the inmate and notary and then returned to the fiancee to get the Marriage License. Discuss everything with me first otherwise the marriage may not take place because of counselor and notary misinformation. Wedding Guests are allowed on the phone and the number of guests is determined by the number of guests in the same place and how many guests can be called based on the number of phones available. I will explain the process of paying the non-refundable consultation fee and instructions you must follow afterwards. The prison is only allowed to have my 435 number. If your Wedding is unable to take place, I will explain your options.

SOUTH CAROLINA/GEORGIA.

For a $100 non-refundable consultation fee, I now perform all the South Carolina/Georgia Inmate Marriages thru Kansas since inmates are unable to get Marriage Licenses in both States. I will explain the payment process and instructions after doing so. The ceremonies are performed at Maggie Grebe Memorial Park in Opolis in Crawford County Kansas. I will explain how you get the Marriage License remotely thru Johnson County District Court and the Marriage License is emailed to you. The inmate must give written consent to the Marriage and the Proxy to speak for the inmate or I can't proceed with the Marriage. I must have the fiancee, two adult witnesses, and the Proxy together at the time the ceremony is scheduled, otherwise the ceremony will be rescheduled. Ceremonies are only performed on Saturday and Sunday nights. Marriage may be necessary for the inmate to live with the other party after release, and for Interstate Compact. Permission is not needed from the Warden to get married since the US Supreme Court gave permission to all inmate marriage in the 1987 Turner vs Safely Ruling, and the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the US Constitution states that a legal Marriage in one State has to be Accepted all over the US. An Attorney is not needed to be able to get married. Do not try to get married thru Utah County Utah since you won't get the required paperwork necessary for an inmate Marriage which means your marriage is not legal, and the Utah Minister scammed you. Don't try the Nashville, Tennessee option because those Affidavits are regularly rejected. Don't consider the other Kansas Ministers because they don't allow all Wedding Guests, as I do, and they charge too much for the type of ceremony they perform, and they don't explain the correct way to get your Certificates. We offer a regular ceremony and send you instructions on the only reliable safe way to get your Certificates after you get Married. Too many couples have been scammed because of the other Officiants negligence, as well as the Officiants who take your money knowing that you will not be legally married such as Utah County Utah and Nashville . You must obtain those Certificates to change your Marital Status and your Name. I am the tried and proven Prison Wedding Officiant.

MARYLAND/PENNSYLVANIA

If you are a Maryland Pre-Trial Inmate do not have your fiancee get a Marriage License in the jurisdiction of the Prison, since the ceremony will not be approved, and if you are a Pennsylvania inmate who can't get a Marriage License, read the South Carolina/Georgia Instructions for the process of me getting you married.
